I’ve been on a snack craze lately. And coincidentally my newest snack obsession is a raw or almost raw protein ball. It’s convenient, healthier than a piece of cake, delicious, and has plenty of nutrients! I didn’t know what kind of flavor to write up as a blog recipe first, but in the midst of shopping for ingredients I remembered I only had coffee protein powder. First I panicked, thinking I couldn’t possibly create a protein ball recipe that was good and had coffee in it, but low and behold I saw bananas and knew exactly what to fix!
These are perfect as an on-the-go snack or taste wonderful paired with coffee or tea for an afternoon pick-me up. : )
I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I do!
(For nutritional information, I included that at the bottom of the page. )
Ingredients:
1/3 cup raw cashews
2/3 cups raw pecans
2/3 cups raw almonds
water
2 scoops Shaklee cafe latte protein powder
1 banana
1 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. Enjoy life chocolate chips
In a food processor, pulse all nuts until coarsely ground. Add a splash of water, to make the nuts stick together, and clump. Add protein powder and honey and pulse again. Puree a banana and add into the food processor. Take the mixture out of the food processor and place into a separate bowl. Add the chocolate chips and mix by hand. Roll dough into balls and place on a plate. Refrigerate to harden or eat it straight away!
