As I’ve told you before, I got obsessed with smoothie bowls. I’ve been keeping this smoothie bowl recipe to myself for a bit, waiting for the right moment to post this! Since I already gave you guys one non-green smoothie bowl, it’s time to add one recipe with greens in it!
Sneaking in greens, like kale or spinach, is a great way of upping your veggie intake and making your smoothies more filling. Kale isn’t the stealthiest ninja in the greens arena for smoothies, but if you only add a bit you’re still getting benefits from it! If you don’t like kale, feel free to substitute a handful of spinach instead!
Smoothie bowls are seriously ingenious, and I love this one! It tastes amazing!
What kind of smoothie bowls do you love making?
Love,
Maxi
Ingredients:
Smoothie Base:
1-2 scoops Shaklee vanilla life shake
1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 banana, frozen
a few smaller kale leaves (or a handful of spinach)
Toppings:
1 tbsp. goji berries
1 tbsp. raw walnut pieces
1 tbsp. shelled hemp seeds
1/4 banana
1/2 tbsp. chia seeds
Take all of the smoothie base ingredients, put them into a blender and blend until smooth. This might take a bit, in order to get the kale leaves processed well (and not chunky). Once it’s well-blended, pour the base into a bowl. Sprinkle each of the toppings onto the smoothie base. I usually do it in stripes, but be creative and play around! 🙂 Enjoy!
