Missing Florida already (even though I’m going back in June), I am craving some sunshine and tropical tastes. I’d much rather be lying underneath a palm tree at the beach, instead of preparing for the next round of snow to hit us. Sometimes I’m really not a fan of living in the DC area, emphasis on sometimes. Specifically in the winter! 😉
While I don’t drink alcohol I do like the taste of a virgin pina colada, so what’s better than combining the daily protein smoothie with a pina colada? It’s fresh, reminds me of the beach, a warm breeze, and summer; plus it’s absolutely delicious!
(To give this a green twist, add kale or spinach to your smoothie, and get your veggies in at the same time! )

Pina Colada Smoothie:
Ingredients:
2 scoops Shaklee Vanilla Life Shake
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/2 banana, frozen
1/2 cup pineapple
1 tsp. coconut extract
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
Dash of cinnamon
Ice, as needed
Combine all ingredients in the blender, and blend! Garnish with an umbrella and a slice of pineapple. 🙂
