Strawberry and Banana- a match made in heaven! For as long as I can remember, I’ve been loving that mix of flavours. Strawberry Banana Julius was the only thing I’d order from Orange Julius (I still have no idea what the other ones taste like!). And before we stopped eating dairy, I used to mix strawberry flavoured yogurt with banana flavoured yogurt. But the childhood memories don’t stop there! Kefir, fruit salad, ice cream…you name it, I ate it! At least if strawberry banana was the flavour combination…
I’m so happy to be sharing this really simple strawberry banana ice cream recipe! 🙂 It’s super simple, and tastes fantastic! Banana ice cream has been an amazing addition to my life, and I love that it’s so healthy.  Especially in the summer when you’re dripping sweat, this can be a life-saver!
What’s your favourite flavor combination?

Strawberry Banana Ice Cream:Â
(df, gf, grain-f, vegan, paleo, sugar free)
Ingredients:
1 small yellow banana, frozen
2 frozen strawberries
1/4 tsp. vanilla extract (optional)
2 tbsp. water
Directions:
Place frozen banana with strawberries, vanilla extract and water into a blender. Blend, and stir in between so it can continuously blend. Add more water as needed, but don’t add too much as it then turns out too runny. You want just enough water so it blends. As soon as you have a soft serve ice cream like consistency, you’re done! Place into a small bowl and top with your favourite fruit and/or nuts, and enjoy! 🙂
Note: I’ve been told that you can also do this in a food processor, but you might have to make larger amounts. (Though that isn’t necessarily a bad thing 😉 )
