I love starting my day with a hot mug of tea in hand. There’s just something so right about it! It’s comforting, and helps me start the day off slowly. To be honest, I’m kind of a tea fanatic. I buy teas wherever I go. In fact I just brought 6 different kinds of teas from my trip! To me tea is part of my self-care ritual, and in the summer, when it’s too hot for hot tea, it’s a very big part of my normal routine that’s missing.
One of my favorite teas, the Energizing Tea from Shaklee, is the absolute bomb. We use it for an energy boost, when we’re on the road, but I love drinking it in the morning to wake up. I had read in several articles on the benefits of certain spices, and decided to mix them all together with the tea. Turmeric is supposed to be anti-inflammatory, cayenne supposedly boosts your metabolism, black pepper is necessary in order for the body to absorb the turmeric, and the ginger is fantastic for digestion! I’m not going to lie, it took me a while to get used to the very spicy taste, but now I wake up craving it! As a word of caution though: YOU DON’T WANT TO OVERDO IT! Very little amounts of these spices go a long way. I’m talking less than 1/8 of a teaspoon. If you do like it super spicy, then feel free to let loose (don’t say I didn’t warn you though!).

I love starting my day with tea and I think I’ll have to try out your recipe
I always love a classic Ceylon or Assam tea day to day but I recently had an apricot and elderflower white tea whilst visiting London which was delicious!
