It’s only a few more days until Fall officially begins! (Five more days to be exact, from the time I’ve written this post up, but who’s counting!) I’m as excited as can be, and I’ve been cooking and baking in the kitchen with fall in mind. All the typical fall flavors are suddenly speaking to me and pumpkin, butternut squash, and cinnamon are in almost every dish (not simultaneously though). I seriously love me some fall flavors!
What better time than now, to try out different smoothie recipes than when Shaklee has come out with their new seasonal flavor? Hooray for Pumpkin Spice Protein Powder!!!! (I’m currently doing my fall dance over here, but don’t mind me! 😉 )
I’m not a HUGE fan of pumpkin (shh, don’t tell), even though I’ve been trying and trying to find some recipe that works, and here it is! Maple and pumpkin are a match made in heaven! Oats give this smoothie a more hearty and filling taste (have a really good blender, though!), and banana gives it just the right amount of creaminess to make this smoothie oh so satisfying.
Well, I think I’ve teased the recipe enough now…here it is!
Love,
Maxi
